Suspect for many they have gone past the point of no return?

Personally, if we can be looking up each season to how high we can finish in the Top 8 or 10 and be playing good entertaining football, decent cup runs rather than the current situation of constantly looking over our shoulder, not giving a shit about cups and dire football at times then it would be a big step in the right direction.

Think we need to be more realistic at what can be achieved each season given the resources and money available to some of the clubs in the PL, getting a top 4 would be a massive achievement, but we should be comfortably avoiding the relegation scrap each season as well.

Realistically unless we get a money bags billionaire owner, next level would be consistently finishing in the Top 8 with decent domestic or European cup runs (if we qualify) and the odd final or Cup win.

Re: What would it take for the owners to be reprieved in your eyes?
Nothing.

They have systematically and deliberately gone about trying to destroy a large part of what the club was all about, the important part, the part that they will never understand.

Fact that they have coupled that with playing the 'ordinary fans' card and claiming that the fans are the true custodians of the club, just sums up their fucking arrogance, in believing they can continue to lie and hoodwink people.

They are disgusting and the day they took over the club was IMHO the worst day in the club's history.

They can't be reprieved because they are incapable of coming up with any decent long term plans, other than to line their fucking filthy pockets, and it would take some monumental long term plans now to put right the damage that they have done.

Clueless, classless, disgusting people.

What redeem them for me is:

If they acknowledged that despite their claim to want the development of West Ham into a top-six team in a world-class stadium they cannot achieve it.

They then sell it to someone who can.

They are beyond redemption in my eyes. As has been said,it all ended when we moved. Matters on the pitch are secondary now, meaning even if we started being moderately sucsessful, any sucsess would be tainted by the fact that it should have been achieved at the Boleyn ground.

Re: What would it take for the owners to be reprieved in your eyes?
I can understand Yarmouth feeling the way he does but I am older than him and feel little or no affection for the old Ground. The stadium that we left was a far cry from the place that I went to as a youngster and indeed the area surrounding the Boleyn was also vastly different especially in terms of atmosphere.

The present owners quite clearly bought the club in order to have a tilt at moving us into the proposed 2012 Olympic's Stadium and to me it represents the only thing that they have talked about, since buying our club, and have delivered. I know that I'm in a small minority but the club were in a position where they had to do something about the old stadium be it redevelop or move.

For me the owners cannot do anything to earn any sort of reprieve other than by selling up. Even if they cease parsimony and spend such that we match the owners stated ambitions I cannot see any of us fans changing their views of them.

There is no coming back from what they have done to this club.
I wish the pair of them would drop fucking dead.
Hateful pair of old cunts.

Selling up to an Arab who has wedge ooozing out if his Arse and needs to do a massive charm campaign to the world for their somewhat backward nation or state and who needs to secrete vast wealth out of the middle east and drop it in the proper east.

This will take us from money grabbing Britush Jewish entrepreneurs who made it in the pornography game to Islamic benefactors who made it in the oil and gas game.

Its a win win win.

What Yarmouth said.

Applies virtually word for word for me too, and almost identical background / circumstances.

That one thing (stadium) they have REALLY buggered up is almost impossible to put right in any meaningful time frame, meaning that for many of us oldies, they have wantonly destroyed our historical links to WHU forever.

They should GO for that alone, but the MINIMUM one would expect (given she was the archtect of this unholy mess) is that they now throw Brady under the bus. IF they do that, and IF we actually recruit a decent manager and build up the squad again, then I MIGHT just cut the Daves a tiny bit of slack.

Might...

Re: What would it take for the owners to be reprieved in your eyes?
100% agree with Lilly Hammer.

The ground is the one constant thing we had as fans. Players, managers, and owners come and go but the ground, with your meet up local pub, the streets & shops, & even the fast food stalls & banter that is embedded within it was your constant to fall back onto, to rely upon.

They ripped that away from us and put us into this sterile, shithole of a stadium. I'm going to see the stones next week - I bet there will not be one thing there to indicate this is our ground.

Thats fucking disgusting. A club with our history and we don't have a ground that we can call our own.

Until they give us a ground we can be proud of and have ownership of, in my eyes, they can never be reprieved.

Maybe it's a generational thing - the younger lads probably don't feel as strongly as my generation does (I'm 60), & whilst I respect the younger lads views, these fucking owners simply can't have any idea how much this fucks us up a generation of fans.

I don't object to change, in normal circumstances I embrace it if it enhances things, but I'd go as far as to say it's wrecked the personal enjoyment of following my club that I've been doing for the best part of 50+ years - as a son, a man & Father myself.

I truly like to have a face to face with these 3 c***s.

Promise to never set foot in the stadium again
Promise to cull their loved ones
Promise to sell up to ...whoever, I really don't care
Promise to donate 100k to the Isla fund
Promise to take ExWHU with them

To have 60,000 or so, at affordable prices, with fans as close to the pitch as at Upton Park.

Nothing else mattered to me. Any success was never worth losing the intimacy of a proper up close football stadium, it would only have been a bonus.

Two of the original wouldn't even get them deprived for a day.

Rebuild Upton park with the original bricks even if they have to glue them all back together.

League champions.

Basically they can fuck off and die for killing over a hundred years of history with their greed.
